Registration dues are split into two parts for everyone - one to the Scouting America National organization and one to Pack 361.
"Youth Fees" - The National dues support the Scouting America organization, program development, insurance, and the Greater Los Angeles Area Council (GLAAC) programs and facilities. There is also an option to subscribe to "Scout Life" magazine. Additional information can be found here.
"Pack Activity Fee" - Pack 361 collects a separate Pack Activity Fee. This covers our own programs, all the awards, the Pinewood Derby, and the annual Blue & Gold Banquet to celebrate the birthday of Scouting.
Notes about additional costs (not included in the dues above):
New Youth Members - New members include a nominal one-time account setup fee, which establishes the youth's membership & advancement record with the national organization. This allows us to track their achievements towards awards and ranks. This record remains with the youth as they continue in Scouting, enabling their information to stay with them even if they transfer to different units.
Uniforms ("Class A") - The uniform is one of the methods of Scouting. It establishes association with the scouting unit and provides a place for the scout to proudly display their achievements. Each youth member should have an official uniform of the appropriate color and type for their age level. See our Uniforms page for more information.
Uniforms ("Class B") - This is a t-shirt that we use to help identify our scouts during activities like hiking, camping, and service projects. We expect to sell Class B t-shirts in late September.
Scout Handbook - This is an optional, but recommended item that includes information about the available adventures for each rank. It also contains a wealth of other information about the outdoors and scouting in general.
Fall Camping Trip (two nights) - This will be a two night, easy camping trip at a scout facility. You will be able to attend for one night, two nights, or just for the day on Saturday. Pricing will be per attendee, per day. Keep an eye out for an announcement & registration in early September!
Spring Camping Trip (one night in Lacy Park) - After taking last year off, CUBCHELLA will be back this year! Announcements about pricing per attendee will be made in the spring.
If you haven't spoken to anyone in the pack about joining yet, please contact us at info@sanmarinopack361.org to ensure we have a den available for your child prior to registering with the BSA. Den availability will vary depending on parent leader availability. We are currently seeking leaders for the Kindergarten (Lions) den.

This year's Pack Activity Fee is $175 per scout.
The Pack Activity Fee will be discounted to $150 if your health form is completed early!
Don't wait until the last minute - we often must return several health forms due to errors or incompleteness. The Pack Registrar will confirm your health forms are complete, and will follow up with you if anything needs to be corrected.
Once you have submitted the health form, please make payment via Zelle to: treasurer@sanmarinopack361.org. Please note that the Pack uses Zelle (preferable) or check to receive payments. Due to changes in the federal tax code, we are not able to offer payment via other services.
